Check out the details below.
In an interview with Sirius/XM’s “Sway’s Universe,” Busta Rhymes says that he left the record label on good terms. He didn’t go into what led to his departure, but he hinted that “creative issues” may have contributed to his decision. Nevertheless, he calls his two years at Cash Money a “great opportunity.” Busta also says he told Cash Money co-founder Birdman that he was “grateful” and that “everything is love” between him at the label. Busta never released an album under the label.
Busta also opened up about the status of his upcoming album “Extinction Level Event 2.” He had hoped to get the project out by November, but he’s “dealing with some sample clearance” issues. Until those legal hurdles are cleared, Busta won’t pin down a date, however, he assures fans the album will arrive this year.
