Everyone assumed that Common and Serena Williams had broken up months ago but recently, rumors have been swirling that the two got engaged over the holidays. Now Serena’s bestie, Selita Ebanks, may have inadvertently spilled the beans during a recent appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show.” After being asked about the engagement rumors by the media maven, Ebanks appeared to squirm and gave an indirect response about the topic.

“Ooh child, I’m the best friend and I wouldn’t be the best friend if I told you. So I don’t know.”

Her elusive reaction may be more telling than she’d like to let on and it only adds fuel to the fire now surrounding the hot celebrity couple. Ebanks did go on to say that she would be in full support of a marriage between the two.

“Well you know what? He would be smart if he did marry her. He would be a very smart man.”
