Howard Stern’s sidekick Robin Quivers is going under the knife. The 59-year-old radio personality revealed on Stern’s Sirius XM show this week that she will undergo surgery this Friday to remove a sizable tumor next to her bladder.
Quivers says she’s wearing a catheter until her surgery, adding that she hoped the mass could be cut out.
She would not say whether the tumor was benign or cancerous, but Stern jokingly threatened to “kill” her if she had cancer.
The newly-installed “America’s Got Talent” judge also said he would quit his radio show if Quivers wasn’t able to continue being his sidekick.
In addition to her role as Stern’s longtime sidekick, Quivers is also a trained medical services nurse and served in the U.S. Air Force where she rose to the rank of Captain.
She began working in radio with Stern in 1981.
The two have been together ever since.
