Jamie Foxx believes Frank Ocean’s admission about his sexuality should encourage more Hollywood types to come out…RhymeswithSnitch reports  Jamie told MTV News,

“Elton John did it. For Frank Ocean to do it and be hip-hop and black, he’s breaking ground, and kudos to him. At the end of the day, his music is for everybody.”
“It’s just the beginning. I have several friends who live in darkness and live in fear, and it’s just time.”

In other news Foxx chatted with “Extra’s” Renee Bargh about his new film, “Django Unchained” – and about how he admires good friend Tom Cruise for his conduct in the split with Katie Holmes.

Foxx, starred with Cruise in the 2004 thriller “Collateral,” told Bargh,

“You have to commend him for already settling everything… and sort of like nipping things in the bud…

I think that’s a testimony to both of their characters because I have two kids… and the only thing that matters in the world are those two children.”

There is one celebrity breakup, however, that Foxx jokingly admitted he just can’t get past: Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. Foxx sighed, “I’m still getting over Jen and Brad, and I know that sounds feminine, but I hope they get back together.”

As for “Django Unchained,” the Quentin Tarantino western about a slave who becomes a bounty hunter, Foxx explained, “I think this is amazing… to have a western that acknowledges slavery. That is about a slave that becomes a bounty hunter, who becomes a hero, who loves his woman… and at the same time, it’s a spaghetti western. It’s all of that cool stuff.”

“Django Unchained” unleashes in theaters December 25. Here is the trailer
