Kanye West and Lady Gaga have joined Union Square Ventures to invest in a new social networking platform called Turntable.fm. Turntable.fm is something new so I’ll break it down for you a little bit. As I said before, you can social network  on the site but what makes this one stand out from Twitter and Facebook, is that it allows you to create a  Dj avatar and then listen to music as well do some djing yourself. You get your social network on with other users by listening to their music and tell them whether or not you like it or not. This site is entirely for the music lover. If one receives enough positive comments on their music, they gain dj points that will allow them to get different dj avatars on the site. Does this sound cool to you? Well don’t go running over to the site trying to sign-up because you have to be invited to the site. HOWEVER,  if you are friends with someone on Facebook who is using the site, then you can gain access. Now that the public knows about big names Lady Gaga and Kanye West backing the site, do you think it will affect Twitter or Facebook? What do you think of the fashion mogul’s business decision?
