Life is all about relationships

To all the watchers and or believers in the world, has social media taken the place of being “fitly joined together”. You check it out for yourself and see if that’s what’s going on or is that what’s happening? The word social means to have an informal gathering especially one organized by the members of a particular club or group.
The word media means the main means of mass communication through television, radio, newspaper and internet.
When really God prefers us to be fitly joined together. Ephesians 4:16 says, “The whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love”.
The word fitly means in an appropriate manner or proper time, it also means meeting adequate standards for a purpose.
The word joined means the shape or manner in which things come together and a connection is made, or become apart of ; become a member of a group ; joined or linked; come into company of; to make contact; come together, to become joined or united or linked.
Now that you have the meaning of “social media” vs “fitly joined” ask yourself which one are you? I can just tell you that just because your using or have social media does not mean your ok with the way you have been doing things on theses sites especially for a believer. In other words just because your relating to the world or society through the means of mass communications through newspaper, television, radio and the internet does not mean that your acting in an appropriate manner or proper time in which your coming together or that your making a connection or that your apart of someone’s life.
What ever happen to the time when someone called you, you were disappointed that you missed their call so in turn you called them back right away. What happened to the time you made an appointment to go over your friends house and the both of you talked for hours about any and everything the person was doing or going through and you spent time sharing your experience or testimony. What ever happened to the time when someone got a raise or a new job and you wanted to know all about it and how you wanted to celebrate with them by taking them out just they can know how much you are happy and proud of them. What ever happened to the time when someone was faced with a hard decision to make and you called the person up not to talk on the phone but to tell them your on your way to touch and agree with them.
We seem to think that social media has connected us or brought us closer when really it has desensitized our love for one another. Social media was not designed by God just so we can sit back and look into a window and just get a glimpse of what’s happening in peoples life’s as spectators just on the sideline clicking that you what their doing. But on the other hand God fully expected us to be “fitly joined together” by being in the appropriate manner or time in which we come together and make a connection or become apart of each other, to be linked together or come into company of to make contact with to become united as one by being apart or participating or becoming members of whatever each one are involved in. That we compact every joint supplying every part making increase of the of the body unto the edifying of ourselves in love. There are benefits you will begin to experience when you stand on and activate the scripture Ephesians 4:16 in your life.
Let’s look at Jesus, what if when someone told us that He died and rose and saved us from sin and our response to him was a nod or a shaking of our head or better yet a click of a button with a heart or a thumbs up. Do you think that he said yes they are with me now their in the kingdom now, their apart of our family now. No, not when I see what is required of us. Some of the requirements to say that your in the family or kingdom is to believe, confess, to go into the land, to make disciples of men and a host of other things. To merely say that you like what he did for us or like what he’s doing is not enough. What have to take part in what he’s done by doing greater works than what he’s done.
One of the key component parts we as followers of Christ have left out of the equation is love. Love requires action. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. God offered us love now he in return expects belief on our parts that is us fitly joining together with him in exchange for everlasting. Love is all about the exchange. its not enough to say yes that’s nice looking at what the person is doing through the vehicle of social media. We are suppose to in an appropriate manner come together and make a connection become apart of; become a member of ; to become joined or linked to, or come into company of; to make contact or to be united with one another.
