WOW lost for words as I read this. According to police, Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway — a former heroin addict — told cops the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant had been “throwing and damaging property” … and pushed her around with his hands and forearms. Cops say they found several broken items inside the apartment — including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.
Mario’s mother also told police the 24-year-old singer had attacked her earlier in the week — in which he pushed her “eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall.”
Mario — real name Mario Dewar Bennett — was eventually arrested this morning for 2nd degree assault. He was released on $50,000 bond. Clearly he is very upset after reaching out to his people I found out that he was very up set cause his mom seemed to be back on drugs and he was really hurt.
I don’t care how mad you are at your mom you NEVER hit/push/curse to your parents…Remember the bibles says honor thy mother & father so that you days may be long….
I dont think its right to ever hit our mother, BUT he has worked so hard to get to where he is at and help his mother off drugs, for her to just relapse. Im not saying he was right cause he could of took it another way but I can feel his pain and understand where he is coming from. She has the whole world in her hands and just gonna give it up for a drug. Hope she comes out of it and stays clean.
I love me some MARIO since way back at 14 yrs. old. And I felt his pain deeply when I watched his show, because we came from the same background, very simillar. But I can’t lie ever since I saw him get with that Amber Rose wanna be, friend girl, traitor ” Dez” I knew he might be headed for trouble. Trickin on a white hoe when he should have kept it where he comes from, like a Tierra Marie, or Raven Simone or someone positive. Someone who appreciates where he comes from, and who has her own talent, income.
His mother was on drugs all his life and it never stopped him from being who he is today, I know from experience it made him stronger and work harder. To be honest, In the picture above he looks like he might have been a lil coked up. White girl drugs makes you feel invincible and contious free Why else would he turn on his mother who has been on grugs all his life. And his sideburns are uneven, jacked up. Besides we have no confirmation that his mother is getting high again. So I wish him/ his mother the best but he’d better reconsider who he’s associating with.
Yes putting your hands on your mother is wrong but, I’m sorry I’m not going to rush to judgement.. How do we know that his mom is not back on drugs? He has fought all his life to help her I believe there is more to this story. Until you’ve delt with a loved one on drugs you can’t understand!
Im not gonna accuse him just yet because having a mother on drugs myself, I know when they are high they will lie their ass off. And if she did relapse, I wouldnt be surprised if she did make the situation seem as if he was the aggressor or responsible for everything that happend in that apartment.

The man is hurt he had to go all his child hood life with a mother thats on drugs and want to know why she doing this if she really love me she wouldnt hurt me this way and when he got her help and he thought she changed he loved that and felt like my mom finally changed an when he found out she went back he felt like all that money, and help he got for her is out the window so he snapped he probably brought out all that anger he had towards her since child hood.
