Early on in the first season of  Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta K. Michelle made some accusations that she was beaten by her ex-boyfriend Memphitz. This situation seemed to be a subject that come up every time K. Michelle was on film. Since the season has ended Memphitz has decided to file a lawsuit for damages and defamatory statements made about him this season. This is a statement given by Memphitz:
“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.†– Mickey “Memphitz†Wright.
MediaHunterPR released the following press release on the lawsuit:
“MICKEY “MeMpHiTz†WRIGHT FILES FEDERAL LAWSUIT AGAINST VH-1 AND “LOVE AND HIP HOP:ATLANTA†CREATORS.
Wright is suing the named Defendants for approximately one dollar per viewer per show for damages that stem from the defamatory statements and denigrating actions of cast member Kimberly Michelle Pate p/k/a “K. Michelleâ€.
According to Attorney Conti J. Moore, Esq., whose practice is based in Orlando, Florida, “Ms. Pate has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof. The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name.â€

I mean she technically NEVER said his name, so how he know she was talking bout him UNLESS – he actually did the things she said he did to her…WHOMP!!!! #lookingGuiltyMemphis …oops, woman beater!!!!
Not once did they mention him by name on tv or online, he defamed himself by going on the radio and doing interviews.
K. Michelle should “File A Counter-Suit” for alleged damages that Memphiz did to her as well, Memphiz admitted that he held her hands to keep K. Michelle from hitting him, we all know that his “Emotions” were unbalanced as well in this situation. K. Michelle get you a “Crooked Lawyer” and “Win His Case Against You”.
Memphitz is not looking GUILTY he has every right to do the right thing something she should have done before this went this far……..KMichelle is using him too get money and abuse is not funny…….REALITY SHOWS are not funny HUMAN BEING LIVES are being DESTROYED over BS!!! KMichelle did mention his name yall so focus on the BS she was spitting out her yuck mouth!!!!

This is going to get real “UGLY”. I was wondering when a law suit was going to be filed by him. All I can say is, if his character is being assassinated unjustly, he should speak out about it as well as be paid for damages. She seems very convincing but we can’t make any judgements on Memphitz or K. Michelle until all of the facts are out. Anyone can say anything but it’s not what you say happened, it’s about what you can prove. People should really learn to take an unbiased approach to things like this until all of the facts are out.

This is a pretty simple case. She said she had evidence and that if he kept “harrasing” her, she would expose it, well, show us the proof. If she can’t produce evidence like she claims she has, then she is a bold face liar who sold a false story to get casted on the show.
Whats so sad is that everybody keeps forgetting that this man had a career before her and Toya. He had already began to establish himself in the music business. She couldn’t say his name on the show because he had his lawyers let Mona and Kim know that she couldn’t. Now that didn’t stop Kim from going on different blogs, interviews, and radio stations and mention his name directly. She has been mentioning this relationship and all the drama for three + years. How long do you keep talking about a man and the past relationship you had with him? At some point she needs to move on. He never responded to her or her accusations for years now that he decides to stand up for himself and his name he has to be a lame. No he’s doing the right thing by suing and even if he don’t win this should make her move on with her life. Otherwise, she should’ve sued Memphitz and brought charges against him back then. If you haven’t sued or had him arrested within at least a year of the incident then obviously you didn’t want to. This sounds vindictive on her part. Even if she has evidence why hold on to evidence that long sue or charge him and get it over with. Also even if he did steal money from her it wasn’t her money its the labels money and they recoup that 2mil back from her doing shows etc. My thing is why didn’t they sue him if he stole their money? One last question would be if he beat her tail like she said, why in the hell would you want to attach yourself to man who did you that wrong? The more she talks about him the more shine and power she gives him. I thought this was about her getting her career off the ground not about old baggage.It makes me conclude that she had no current storyline and had to use him to get on the show. Show case your talent not the men who done you wrong
