Michael Jackson is back in the news not for his forthcoming album but for molestation claims from a young man who starred in the 1987 Pepsi commercial.
Check out the details below.
The Estate of Michael Jackson is responding to the latest molestation claims leveled against the late King of Pop. Addressing the report from “The Daily Beast,” estate executors say James Safechuck added his own sealed claim onto a lawsuit filed by choreographer Wade Robson last year. Jackson Estate attorney Howard Weitzman is calling the allegations “false and scurrilous.” Weitzman also points out that Safechuck had himself denied being molested several times in the past, and says he is “now demanding money from Michael’s Estate by claiming he suddenly recalls life differently.”
Safechuck, who is now 36, once starred in a 1987 Pepsi commercial with Jackson. His allegations come just as the singer’s new posthumous album “Xscape” arrives in stores.
