Although we told you this weeks ago it was confirmed yesterday. Kelly Ripa is declaring it a “new era” after unveiling former football star Michael Strahan as her new permanent co-host. Strahan took his seat next to Ripa on Tuesday’s season premiere of “Live!,” which will now be known as “Live! With Kelly and Michael.” The former New York Giants star replaces longtime “Live!” host Regis Philbin who left the morning show last year after 28 years. Word leaked out that Strahan would replace Regis a few weeks ago, although “Live!’s” producers remained tight-lipped about the subject until Strahan’s unveiling on Tuesday.
