Up-and-coming actor Keith Stanfield will play a young Snoop Dogg in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, “Straight Outta Compton.”

According to TheWrap.com, Keith Stanfield’s Snoop will cross paths with the rappers from N.W.A. as they all strive to make a name for themselves in hip-hop. Stanfield joins several other up-and-coming actors, including Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr., who will play his father.
The film will also star Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E and Aldis Hodge as MC Ren. Veteran actor Paul Giamatti will play N.W.A. manager and Ruthless Records co-founder, Jerry Heller.
Keith Stanfield is known for his role in the 2013 film “Short Term 12.” He’s also landed roles in the upcoming films “Selma” and Don Cheadle’s Miles Davis biopic, “Miles Ahead.”
