The big homie T.I. is making things happen and 2014 is looking like the year of GRAND HUSTLE with a new album from T.I. on his very own label.
Check out the details below.
T.I. is all about his GRAND HUSTLE. He’s making tremenduous moves in media, fashion apparel, and music. After traveling around the country as the co-headliner of the America’s Most Wanted Tour with Lil Wayne and shaking things up in “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke, TIP has announced that he’s leaving Atlantic Records for Columbia Records to form his label, Grand Hustle/Columbia.
In 2014 the big homie will be releasing his new album and making a splash. Columbia is ready for GRAND HUSTLE too. Rob Stringer the Chairman and CEO of Columbia released a welcoming statement to TIP and promises him the following,
“[We] are going to make him an even bigger superstar on a global level.”
After Rob Stringer released the Columbia welcome Pharrell, who also appears on “Blurred Lines,” as “instrumental” in bringing T.I. to the Sony-owned label and say he will executive produce T.I.’s upcoming LP, which the rapper is recording currently. The album will also feature Timbaland and DJ Toomp.
In an interview with Hartford’s Hot 93.7 (a Radio.com station), T.I. talked about his upcoming full length, set to be titled Trouble Man II: He Who Wears the Crown, a sequel to the Atlanta rapper’s 2012 album Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head. Tip had the following to say,
“I’m going to try to make sure that it’s as grounded as it was the last time, I just want to make it a little broader! I just want to cast a wide net this time. I don’t want to classify a type or a genre. I want to broaden the scope of people who would be able to relate to the music. But I do not want to sacrifice or compromise any of the integrity of the music.”
Go head big homie! We can’t wait to hear the music. Be sure to stay tuned!
