Tameka Raymond held The Give Thanks 5K run/walk this past Saturday morning in Atlanta.  The event was held to raise funds for the Kile’s World Foundation’s art initiative and camps.  Kile Glover pass away at 11 years old in a boating accident in Atlanta’s Lake Lanier over a year ago after being run over by a personal watercraft and suffering from critical injuries. it is so iimportant that we support my girl Tameka shes been working so hard to change Water laws and save lives … got to love this lady… 

“I know when I’ll be running, I will be thinking of him,”  “I’m thinking about him every day, but he was my running buddy.”

She continued,

“That’s who I used to do my neighborhood jogs with all the time. He would be the only one who would be like, ‘Let’s go, mom.’ He kept me going.”

Runners braved near freezing temperatures on Saturday morning for the first five-K race held in Kile’s name.  The event helped raise funds for the Kile’s World Foundation, an organization that gives assistance to arts programs for underprivileged children.  Kile’s mother, Tameka Foster, started the organization after Kile’s death and says she was “overwhelmed” with the show of support Saturday.  Tameka also called Kile an “avid artist” who loved to draw, paint and write songs.
