Singer Tinashe caught a wave on social media, for her comments in an interview with The Guardian.
The RNB songstress talked about how are things are going in her career, and why she feels like she hasn’t reached a certain level of success.

It’s about trying to find a balance where I’m a mixed woman, and sometimes I feel like I don’t fully fit into the black community; they don’t fully accept me, even though I see myself as a black woman. That disconnect is confusing sometimes.” A shrug. “I am what I am.”
Her comments caused mixed reviews on social media. But most said colorism has no indication on who she is as an artist, it’s simply just her work. Read between the tweets below.
