Two years ago it didn’t look like Beyoncéand Jay Zwere going to make it to their next wedding anniversary. Their marriage was at breaking point and they were barely talking. The couple was forced to make a choice: save the relationship or live separate lives.
“They had been having problems for years,” reveals a source close to the couple. “There was a constant commitment issue between them and in the end they were barely speaking. Beyoncé didn’t fully trust Jay and it was hard for her to get past that.”
And so began an intense period of reflection for the couple, continues the insider. “They went to a lot of counseling and have been working on their issues ever since. They had help to get them through it.”
She’s still #trending and people are still sipping on that #lemonade, however the real question that everybody wants to know and that has the world in a buzz is, who’s the “becky with the good hair?”
If you haven’t watched the HBO lemonade special as yet, nor have you hypnotically subscribed to Tidal to listen to the album of the same title, then you must live under a rock or maybe you’re becky!!!!
The internet has been buzzing since Saturday with suspicion ever since bey dropped this line “He better call Becky with the good hair” that cheeky and direct line she spits at the end of the song “Sorry” made Twitter, instagram and the internet on the whole crazy with the Becky memes, quips, anectotes and jokes, but that’s only the normal people that didn’t take the line too serious, the beyhive on the other hand did what most of these stans, i mean fans tend to do and started bullying all the usual suspects and even some unsuspecting ones, but with the beyhive the only untouchable person on the planet is Queen Bey herself and maybe Obama!
the witch hunt list
If there is one loyal group of fans on this planet it is the “beyhive” and if you cant afford the most toxic insect repellent, then i suggest you jump int a body of water, everybody knows bees cant get wet! The beyhive will come for you if you say even the slightest thing deemed negative of miss yonce’ just ask Kid rock, he got out the insect repellent and still go stung! Rachel Roy was no exception as a matter of fact no one on the witch hunt list was!
Y’all all remember the infamous Elevator fight where Solange went H A M on Jay’z for allegedly flirting with Roy at the Met Gala and Roy has since denied those allegations, however that didn’t stop the beyhive from going in on her once “Sorry” dropped, but Roy fueled the speculation by posting this on her Instagram which has since been deleted. The ‘hive wasted no time in letting her know how they truly felt.
The “Body on me” singer was not exempt from the sting. Last year was a crazy year for Ora who had several touchy moments with Bey’s husband, enough to have gotten her stung from the hive for hugging him at the Met Gala Ball and for being rumored to have hooked up with Jay after she was signed to RocNation, but Rita has always denied those rumors, but this was not why the hive was attacking her now it was because she posted this pic on her instagram.
The hive had it all wrong though, because this picture was posted days before the world had heard about lemonade. to add insult to injury, ora was seen on the scene wearing the same Givenchy dress Bey wore in the documentary! I think she should have consulted with the beyhive before making this very “smart” decsion.
Ora has since responded to the rumors saying ‘I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumors are false,’ she tweeted I have the utmost respect for Beyonce.
One thing is for sure the Beyhive may not be the best source for factual information, but they are surely loyal! So for the sake of false accusations and the entire Hollywood industry becoming extinct, dying from bee stings, will the real “Becky with the good hair” please stand up!
Prince has died and Beyonce’s out here serving lemonade!
The music industry in the last 72 hours lost an iconic part of black history with the passing of one of Music’s biggest pioneers, Prince left us in heavy rotation of falling “Purple Rain,” but Beyonce got her umbrella out here serving this bitter sweet purple lemonade and she’s serving it with a dose of hot sauce!
The anticipated album from the muva’ of roc nation dropped only moments ago on Tidal preceded by an hour long visual album special that aired on HBO that will have your head spinning, jaw dropped all the way past the concrete and your sub conscience going “i knew it”. Did she deliver? The answer is simple, doesn’t she always? She gave us southern hospitality, goth, emo, even a little country. This is none like any album she has put forth to date. This is Beyonce exposed and this should come as no surprise that she is exposing and validating truth on her terms! You might however want to sip slow and sit down whiles ingesting this glass of “Bey’s truth because the relativity to your own life might choke you!
The HBO special delved deep into the very core of Black people and why more than ever it is truly time for us to get in “Formation” and it’s not just because our sons, brothers, husbands or fathers are being killed, but also because black people are divided and are hurting each other! The many high profiled cameos that came through to support Beyonce with this project demonstrated what power and change can look like if we as black people learned to love ourselves, heal each other and build each other up!
We heard the sultry voice of “The Weekend” as Bey gave us some “red-light special” action in “Emptiness”. Serena Williams strutted her beautifully structured curves in “Sorry” as Bey looked all kinds of crazy in the chair she was sitting in, but she was everyone woman sitting in that chair that has been through the hurt and embarrassment of being betrayed by the one you love. We saw intimate moments that took place in her private home life with husband Jay-Z and even never before seen footage of her pregnant belly, putting to rest the rumor that she had a surrogate carry Blue Ivy.
It seemed as though Bey was talking to every man and woman that has felt the pangs of people hurting people who claimed it was in the name of love through this album and HBO special, whiles subliminally airing her personal warning letter to her husband. It’s apparent that this album is personal! Years of speculation that her marriage was a tumultuous one validated by her in one night! She bears it all, her vulnerability, her ego, her jealousy and her crazy!
The lyrics to some of the songs alludes to the possibility of a forthcoming divorce, validating the rumors that circulated on the net that Jay-Z had in fact cheated on her. In this HBO special though, Bey served him a dose of reality and read him right saying “This is your final warning, You know I give you life. You try this s–t again, you gonna lose your wife,” a line from the song “Anger”. She is not playing, letting him know that she is not the one to be cheated on! Shots were fired and she blew a baseball sized hole through her target’e ego and all of the “sidechicks” that want to think about being his sidechick!
This lemonade gives you life, your life, it serves you a dose of reality, hers and yours, Bey gives you intimacy, pain, betrayal, anger, crazy, but most importantly she gives us the secret to healing and forgiveness. With each of these lessons heard through the 12 songs that’s on this album, Queen Bey has yet again demonstrated why her crown stays on top of her head, it’s because she’s figured out the secret to a happy life and that’s embracing your crazy, so that you can stay sane! Now this is how you “break the internet” with purpose!
Queen Bey just won’t let us keep calm, the surprises keep coming. Strategically thought out, the day before her big Super Bowl halftime performance, Saturday she slayed us with her new single and video “Formation.” So why was it such a surprise that after she fiercely rocked her performance during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show she announced she is going on a world tour! Yes, “The Formation World Tour” launches April 27th in Miami and will stop in different cities throughout North America, including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas before heading to Europe through July 31. Tickets are set to go on sale February 9th for all of her Beyhive fan club members and February 16 for the general public.
