Dawn Richard became a popular household name during her 2004-2008 stint on MTV’s Making The Band. From the show came the pop group Danity Kane, then Diddy & Dirty Money. Now Dawn is promoting her independent solo EP, “Armor On”.

Formerly of Danity Kane, and Diddy’s group Dirty Money,Â Dawn Richard’s just dropped the Â video for â€œBombs,â€ her new singleÂ off her EP ‘Armor On’. Here’s what Dawn said about the song:
â€œI wanted the art direction to be cohesive with the song and sound of the EP,â€ said Dawn. â€œWarriors fighting for the same cause. â€˜Bombsâ€™ is the â€˜Hearts have arrivedâ€™ record.â€

Dirty Money singer Dawn Richards is ready to branch out on her own.Â The vocalist tells Rap-Up.com that she’s planning on releasing three solo albums that will serve as a trilogy.Â The first record, which will be titled “GoldenHeart,” is slated to drop in late 2011 or early 2012.Â The other two albums, “BlackHeart” and “RedemptionHeart,” will arrive at a later date.Â Dawn says she’s really excited to release her upcoming records, noting that they will represent her passion “for this music thing.”Â The hip-hop star adds that she’s finally finding her identity in music, and is “in love” with the direction her career and sound is taking.
Dawn Richards spent four years in the group Danity Kane before joining Kalenna Harper and Sean “Diddy” Combs to form the ensemble Diddy-Dirty Money.Â The trio released their debut album, “Last Train To Paris,” back in December and just recently wrapped up a U.S. tour.
