Met Ball 2012 : EVENT PHOTOS

Last nights Stars, designers, models and actors took on the red carpet at the “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” themed Met Gala. The Costume Institute Gala, known as the Met Ball which has also been nicknamed the “Oscars of the East Coast”, is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.

Only the top elite, or people who have thousands to waste go.. The red carpet evening, gives all the top celebrities the chance to get world wide press and the event is described as the fashion industry’s “Night of Nights”.

After following the live streaming via Vogue.com and watching all the crazy dresses worn by models and celebrities last night, I have to say I am very impressed!!!

Where Was Kanye West During Fashion Week 2011?

Hip-hop’s fashionista Kanye West was obviously absent from this year’s Fashion Week in NYC. Normally a staple of the event, known for sitting in front row of major fashion events, Weezy was no where to be found, and neither were some major designers including his friend, Marc Jacobs. Rumor has it that West will skill Fashion Week in NYC completely to launch his womenswear collection next during during the fashion shows in Paris. Rumor also has it that Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci, artwork designer for Watch the Throne, as a mentor.
