Meagan Good-Franklin Heats Up the Cover of ‘Upscale’ + Hubby Promoted
Meagan Good is one of Hollywood’s finest actresses and this month she can be found on covers of the latest issue of Upscale Magazine. Look for the new issue in which she opens up to UPSCALE Magazine about what true power is in her eyes, and how her husband, DeVon Franklin, brought love and healing into her life. And the gorgeous 30-year-old is determined to show people she hasn’t been typecast as the sexy girl every man wants.
Meagan On being typecast:
“There were a couple times where the director said ‘We really like you, but you’re a little bit too sexy.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, what do I need to do? Wear a turtleneck? You know, loose-fitting clothes?’ And they’re like “Nah, it’s just something that you give off.†I don’t know that I necessarily believe that. I believe that people, when they have a pre-conceived notion of who you are, and things you’ve done in the past, sometimes they forget that as an actor you’re able to shut off whatever you need to shut off, and you’re able to turn on whatever you need to turn on.â€
On her love for her husband Devon Franklin:
“To me there’s nothing sexier than a man that loves the Lord. I can’t imagine anything more attractive. And then, we just get each other, we don’t judge each other. He understands me. His love has brought a lot of healing to a lot of areas that have been really painful for me. â€

‘Think Like A Man’ Sequel On The Way
“Think Like a Man,†the film that was based on the #1 New York Times Best Seller written by Steve Harvey, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man†will be getting a sequel.
EgyptSaidSo reports due to the shocking success of the “urban†romance comedy “Think Like A Man”, Sony Screen Gems has begun pre-production on a sequel for the film. Think Like A Man is the adaptation of Steve Harvey’s relationship advice book.
In terms of the cast, at this point it’s not clear who will be returning. The original Think Like a Man starred Michael Ealy, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Meagan Good, Gabrielle Union and Romany Malco.

Ultimately the film became a sleeper hit, boasting a box office tally of $92.7 million worldwide with just a $12 million production budget. This put the film in the running for being one of this year’s most profitable comedies.

“Friends with Benifits writers, Keith Merryman and David A. Newman, have been hired to pen the script. However, the studio has not made it publicly known whether Tim Story, the original film’s director, would be on board for the sequel.
Despite the rush to green light the Think Like a Man sequel, a firm release date has yet to be announced.
Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin Got Married
One of black Hollywood leading ladies got locked down over the weekend. Sources reports, Meagan Good married producer and preacher DeVon Franklin at a ceremony in Malibu, CA. And a few early pics popped up on Twitter.
During an earlier interview, Meagan revealed that the nuptials would have, “a bayou-themed kind of Spanish mosque, a very enchanted-y Twilight feel.”
And a few of the couple’s friends tweeted congrats to the couple.

Meagan Good, Stacey Dash and Terrell Owens heads a all-star cast in director Corey Grant’s upcoming romantic comedy Dysfunctional Friends. The plot revolves around a group of warring acquaintances who are tasked with spending just five days together in order to inherit millions of dollars left by their internet mogul friend.

Meagan Good Will NOT Replace Stacey Dash On ‘Single Ladies’
Last week, I reported rumors about the lovely Meagan Good that she would be taking over the role recently vacated by Stacey Dash of Val on VH1′s Single Ladies (see here). Looks like those rumors were wrong. Meagan Good met up with the people over at Global Grind to talk about the show:
“They haven’t contacted me..and if they do I’d only be coming on as recurring, (like I was on The Game)..I’m not ready to be a regular on a show, although I am developing a show myself I might star in.”
There you have it ladies and gentlemen! So the question is who will play the role of Val? Better yet, who SHOULD play the role!?

Meagan Good To Star in Self Produced Film + Visits The Ronald McDonald House
Meagan Good recently unveiled the official poster for her self-produced film Video Girl. The 29 year-old actress/model will be playing Lorie Walker, a girl who follows her dream of being video bombshell and moves to Los Angeles. She meets a man (played by
Adam Senn) who helps her become one of the most sought after video models. She then gets hooked on drugs and looses herself in all the chao of the entertainment business.
The film hits select AMC theaters on April 29th. You can catch other celebrities in the film like Ruby Dee, Lisa Raye, Melyssa Ford, Bobby Valentino and Juelz Santana.
