Bill Clinton looked delighted to be in Nelson Mandela’s company after paying him a visit on the eve of his 94th birthday today. The former South African President and peace icon Nelson Mandela is looking good for his age. The foundation named for Mandela is celebrating the day, now known as Nelson Mandela International Day, by calling on individuals, communities and organizations around the world to pay tribute. It asks that people devote 67 minutes of time toward community service. Sixty-seven represents the 67 years that Mandela gave to the struggle to end apartheid in his homeland and promote social justice around the world. Idris Elba Says ‘The Less I Talk About Being Black, The Better’
In a recent interview with Vulture, Idris Elba was quoted as saying “The less I talk about being black, the better.”
The quote can be very misunderstood and will quite possibly could set off a firestorm in the media.  The entire statement that goes with the quote reads: better.”
“I’m so bored of answering that. Are there differences between black actors’ opportunities and white actors’ opportunities? Yes, there are. It’s been said. I’d rather a young black actor read about success as opposed to how tough it was. I get these roles because I can act and that’s it. Hopefully that’s it. The less I talk about being black, the better.â€
Idris Elba will also be playing Nelson Mandela in an upcoming biopic about the African leader.

Nelson Mandela Recovering From Collapsed Lung
Nelson Mandela is recovering in a hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa from a collapsed lung. The former South African president was hospitalized in Johannesburg Wednesday for what his foundation said were routine tests. The Nelson Mandela Foundation added that the 92-year-old civil rights icon was in “no danger” and in “good spirits.” Mandela’s last public appearance was in July at the soccer World Cup.

Former South African President Nelson Mandela was hospitalized Thursday in Johannesburg for what his office said were routine tests. However, the 92-year-old anti-apartheid icon’s overnight stay drew extraordinary media attention.
Reports say Mandela undergoes regular hospital checkups, but his latest visit starting Wednesday stretched into an unusually long stay. Journalists camped outside the hospital Thursday, watching Mandela’s relatives and friends enter for visits.
