Nicki Minaj debuted her latest music video “Starships” on Thursday night (April 26) which was filmed on sandy beaches in Hawaii. Minaj who is 29 premiered her latest creation on MTV. The “Starships” track is from Minaj’s sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which debuted in the top spot on the iTunes and Billboard charts.
Nicki told radio host Ryan Seacrest about the track:
“There was so much love surrounding the making of the song, because RedOne is just so sweet to work with, he just sent me that one day, and he said, ‘Hey, I got something for you!’ I was like, ‘You got to be kidding me, right?’ I went to the studio and started writing … scratch that … I didn’t even write the first verse! That was just me mumbling and just saying the first thing that came to my head, and we recorded it, because I just felt like: ‘Let’s go to the beach … let’s go get away.’ It was just so good. It feels good!”

Nicki Minaj 29 made major headlines over the weekend in Twittersphere and on the net after her father spoke out about false accusation over “Nightline” Interview. The Jasmine Brand The hip-hop diva deleted her Twitter account over the weekend. Nicki didn’t give a reason as to why she’s no longer a part of the social networking site. Rap-Up, however, points out that there had been a large amount of negativity on her timeline recently. Nicki was also unhappy about a fansite recently posting portions of her latest album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” Before deleting her Twitter page, Nicki sent out a tweet on Sunday saying that there is only “so much a person can take.”

Nicki Minaj will continue to inspire fans today with the release of her new album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” The album features Nicki’s current single “Starships,” as well as appearances from artists like Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Nas and Drake.
“Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” will be Nicki’s follow-up to 2010′s “Pink Friday.” The album has sold nearly two-million copies in the United States thanks to hits like “Super Bass,” “Moment 4 Life,” and “Fly.”

Nicki Minaj Multi-Million Dollar Deal With Pepsi, New Music, & European Tour Dates
Nicki Minaj is drinking in a multi-million dollar deal with Pepsi. According to “Forbes,” the hip-hop diva has signed on to be the face of a new line of soda called “Pop.” Nicki has already shot a commercial for the campaign in South America. Derek Jackson of Glu, the company that brokered the deal, says fans will be seeing Minaj’s commercial “probably in the next two months.” The terms of Nicki Minaj and Pepsi’s agreement haven’t been revealed, but Jackson says the deal is for seven figures.
Nicki Minaj isn’t the only artist on the Young Money label who has teamed up with Pepsi. Lil Wayne just kicked off his DEWeezy campaign with Mountain Dew. Nicki Minaj Writing 2 Books, On The Set Of ‘Starships’, and ‘Allure’ Interview
Nicki Minaj says she doesn’t want to settle for just being a hip-hop superstar. The rap diva tells the April issue of “Allure” that she’s always viewed music as a business, and ultimately wants to create an “empire” from her work. Nicki says she’s not afraid to take on some of music’s biggest names on the way to the top. She recalls running into Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show and playfully telling the rap icon that she’s coming for his “spot.”
Nicki also opens up about her workout routine, or lack thereof, in the new edition of “Allure.” While she says she’s always been petite, Nicki admits she has to work to keep the extra pounds off. The “Super Bass” rapper says you won’t find her on a treadmill though, noting that when she needs to drop a little weight she just cuts “out sugar and starch.” Nicki Minaj is getting ready to drop her upcoming album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” The record is set to arrive on April 3rd.

 Nicki Minaj’s sophomore album will arrive a little later than planned. The rap diva has announced via Twitter that “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” is now on track to enter stores on April 3rd instead of Valentine’s Day. In the meantime, Nicki says fans can look forward to “tons of surprises” before her new record drops. One of those surprises may be a performance at next month’s Super Bowl. There has been plenty of speculation in recent weeks that Nicki will be joining Madonna on stage during her halftime performance.
