Sprite Step Off is the largest national step competition EVER –with 30 events in over 20 cities, teams from all across the country can compete in Sprite Step Off for a share of $1.5 million prize pool. I have to say there needs to be more companies like them doing this for the community… Monica and Soulja boy head lined Atlanta portion of the show…

Competing teams will also donate over 1 million hours of community service over the course of the competition, working alongside the national Sprite Step Off Service Challenge(http://bit.ly/SSOSRV). The SSOSC is a collaboration between the National Pan-Hellenic Council and The Boys and Girls Club of America to help spark community service amongst youth across the country. And since Greeks are ambassadors for attending college (by virtue of the requirements for their membership), Sprite Step Off can be a vehicle to inspire young people to pursue higher education.

This week I had the opportunity to go on the set of Soulja Boy’s latest video shoot ”Gucci Bandanna” here in the ATL. I have to say that it was a long day but was jammed packed full of stars …The one and only  Jamal ‘Gravy’ Woolard who played Biggie in the movie ”Notorious” was there. He is working on alot of different projects and his muisic.  Everyone came out to show love to the homie Soulja Boy Tell Em’. Ok, so I know y’all want to know all the dirt and what really took place so here it is: First off when I got there everyone was like they had been waiting on Shawty Lo forever.

No one realized that Lo wasn’t there cause he was not feeling well, at first everyone thought he was playing around and had other engagements but that was not the case at all. I have to tell y’all I really have much respect for the man. Lo, who has diabetes and needed to go to the hospital but opted to stay and work has an insane level of work ethic. I can’t do anything but give that man his respect . 

DJ Unk came out who was later asked to leave the set because of issues I think that he and Soulja Boy had in the past that dealt with Dj Unk’s new group that once was signed to Soulja Boy’s label!  Get this, Unk actually brought the group on Soulja Boy’s Set! WHY??!! drama, drama, drama!

On a sidenote, Soulja Boy is a really cool person.  He keeps it real and doesn’t fake what he does,  He keeps everything on the up and up and I admire that about him as well.  He is definately on his GRIND.

Notorious B. I. G.  actor Jamal ‘Gravy’ Woolard, came to the ATL to work on his skills and record some hits. Jamal who is from Brooklyn came to the A-Town to work on his up coming album that will be out soon. I am told that he is also looking at some movie roles but the sky is the limit. Soulja Boy is finally speaking out about a crime that took place at his Atlanta home recently. The rapper appeared on the syndicated radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood last Friday, where the host asked him about the incident. Soulja Boy admitted that he was in his home recording studio in the early morning hours when armed men broke into the residence. The rapper added that one of the suspects put a gun to his friend’s head, but said, quote, “I really can’t, you know, dwell on what happened after that.” The incident was reported on the Internet earlier this month, after a video was posted by two men claiming they were behind the robbery. Police have yet to make any arrests.

Soulja Boy’s camp is confirming reports that the rapper was the victim of crime last week. While details are very slim, a rep for the teen MC called the incident, quote, “a serious situation.” The confirmation comes just days after Internet gossip sites were buzzing about an alleged robbery that took place at Soulja Boy’s Atlanta house. The unconfirmed stories said the rapper and some friends were held up by six armed men. On New Year’s Eve, two masked men posted a video on the Web claiming they were behind the robbery. The men said they were able to find Soulja Boy’s home by following him home from his album release party earlier in December. The rapper released his sophomore CD, titled “iSouljaBoyTellEm,” back on December 16th. The disc has been purchased just under 80-thousand times in its first two weeks out.

Yo Bébé Kids might have a new cartoon to watch. A cartoon version of Soulja Boy is taking over the Internet next month. “Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em: The Animated Series” will debut on the young rapper’s website starting January 6th. While Soulja Boy and his high-school buddies will be animated, former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro will appear live as the principal. According to the “Hollywood Reporter,” Soulja Boy’s cartoon character can be seen on YouTube in a short clip prior to the video for his new single, “Kiss Me Thru The Phone.” The animated series will air exclusively on souljaboytellem.com.

Soulja Boy has had many hit records..I don’t know if this is gonna be one of them, but I do know that every little kid on the country will be doing this dance pretty soon.
