With her diagnosis of sickle-cell anemia and recent brain surgery, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins isn’t a stranger to sickness. But her recent bout of the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, came as a complete shock.

T-Boz and her daughter decided to see a doctor after having sore throats for three days. He told them that her daughter had flu and T-Boz had swine flu. “I was like, ‘This is unbelievable,’” she told Life & Style. “I made arrangements right away for my daughter to stay with my mom.”

“He gave me antibiotics and antiviral medications like Tamiflu and Levaquin, as well as a low dose of steroids,” she said. “I had to stay in the house and away from everyone.”

Our friends over at Str8nyc.com are reporting It’s been 7 years since the surviving TLC members T-Boz and Chilli performed together since Left Eye’s tragic death. Both ladies will join an A-list line-up of celebrities including, country star Taylor Swift, homewrecker Alicia Keys and Ciara for an upcoming benefit concert hosted by Justin Timberlake. The gig will take place in Sin City aka Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on October 17th. The Ryan Camron Show (follow him on twitter Therealrc )talked to T-Boz where she told him that they will be doing I 15 min performance … They are going to rehearse for a week prior to the performance…  T-Boz was like she still got it … 

I have to say I love me some Chilli!! Ooooohh she makes me want to have a red light special all over my granny’s table. She  came out to show love to Ryan Cameron for his 4 year anniversary. While there she talked about her new reality show that will be coming out later this year. VH1 has given the green light to three new series starring pseudonymous talent. TLC’s “Chilli,” Salt n’ Pepa’s “Pepa” and “The Entertainer” from I Love NY and I Love Money will all star in new shows for the network in 2010. VH1 has also ordered a second season of Sober House with Dr. Drew and a seventh season of Celebrity Fit Club.

The Chilli Project (working title) will feature the former TLC star searching for love with the help of relationship expert Tionna Smalls. The network has ordered eight half hour episodes of the program, which is from FremantleMedia North America.

The Entertainer will use a similar format to the network’s other dating shows, bringing together a group of young bachelorettes that try to woo Frank “The Entertainer” Moresco’s heart, and help him move out of his parent’s basement. VH1 has ordered 10 one hour episodes.

 

It looks Jennifer Lopez won’t be getting her own reality series yet. Lopez has been in talks with the TLC network since last year about a possible show. While the network wanted the episodes to include her husband Marc Anthony and their twin babies, Lopez reportedly wanted to keep her kids away from reality TV. She instead wanted the show to focus on the making of one of her signature perfumes. A TLC source said the Lopez show was, quote, “on life support for a while, and now we’ve just lost interest.” The news comes on the heels of the huge success for the network’s family-based reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8.” Almost ten-million viewers tuned in for the Monday night season premiere of the series which focuses on the couple and their eight children.

Ok so I know that I am so late with this post, and have been getting a lot of complaints about forgetting to post the event, but I really thought I had posted all the pictures and talked about the event… Please forgive me… LOL

Last week  we celebrated the life and legacy of Lisa Left Eye Lopes at Ten Pin Alley, in Atlanta.  Hosted by Ryan Cameron (V103), the event hosted celebrities such as Monica, and Sheree Whitfield and many of Atlanta’s top industry Groupies.  The event was really nice, I feel that they did a really good job promoting the event, but failed when it came to people buying items benefiting the Lisa Lopes Foundation. After speaking to  one o the workers they told me that the event was a failure because they sold only 5 items the foundation held the event to raise funds but no funds were raised. Does this not sound like what happen to DeShawn Snow hummmm!!!… ATL are we that cheep.. LOL  The funds benefited the Lisa Lopes Foundation and her orphanage in the Honduras  Hoga De Amor (Lisa’s Home of Love). If you want to show love please email them Here www.lisalopesfoundation.org
