Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are confirming that they’ve parted ways. People.com reports that the one-time “Bull Durham” co-stars are splitting up after a 23-year relationship. Sarandon’s rep, Teal Cannaday said via statement, “Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer. No further comments will be made.”
In addition to working together on the baseball film “Bull Durham,” Sarandon and Robbins collaborated on “Dead Man Walking,” which Robbins directed. Sarandon’s starring role in that 1996 film earned her a Best Actress Oscar. The couple has two sons together — 20-year-old Jack and 17-year-old Miles. Sarandon currently stars in the new thriller “The Lovely Bones,” now in theaters.
