Ne-Yo plans on slowing things down in 2013. After taking the stage on “MTV’s Club NYE 2013” the singer told the show’s co-host, Snooki, that he plans on bringing R&B back to its roots in 2013. He says he wants to see “slow jams” become popular again. He adds that he hopes that R&B will “make a comeback in 2013.” The “Let Me Love You” singer plans to take the lead, adding that he hopes he can do his part to resurrect R&B’s “slow jams.”
Ne-Yo had a successful 2012, which saw the release of his fifth studio album “R.E.D.” The album opened at number four on the Billboard 200 chart after selling more than 66-thousand copies in its first week. That album’s second single, “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself),” has gone on to be highly successful. The song peaked at number six on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
