“Crooked Smile” is the latest single released by J. Cole that will be featured on his forthcoming album, Born A Sinner, that will drop on June 18.
In an interview with FUSE TV, J. Cole shared his inspiration behind creating “Crooked Smile”:
I didn’t have the Colgate, I didn’t have braces and [haters] definitely remind you. So [the song] is me taking ownership. Don’t get caught up in the little things–your weight or your nose or your eyebrows or your smile or your hair. Embrace your own flaws.
They loved the song. They loved the music I got T-Boz in L.A. to do her part. I got Chilli in Atlanta. Just incredible experience getting them there.
