Just when you thought the Knowles family headlines could not get any wilder, here comes a story that has the whole internet talking. While Beyoncé and Jay-Z are preparing to welcome their first baby, a woman from Mathew Knowles’ past is stepping forward with claims that would be shocking if they are true — and we do mean claims. Press play and hear FreddyO break the whole thing down.
Here is what is being reported: Alexsandra Wright, the woman whose affair with Mathew Knowles became public and who has a young son by him, is now claiming that back when she was expecting, Mathew wanted her to hand the baby over to Beyoncé and Jay-Z to raise as their own. According to her account, it never happened, and her son has remained with her. But the allegation by itself is enough to stop the presses — especially with Beyoncé’s own pregnancy dominating entertainment news this month.
Timing is everything in gossip, and this month’s timing is wild. Beyoncé’s baby announcement stole the whole show at the VMAs in August, and just this month a television appearance set off a fresh round of silly surrogate talk that her camp has already shut down. Into that storm walks a story tying her father’s past to her future child — which is exactly why this one has to be treated for what it is: one side, telling her story, in the middle of a very public family situation.
Press play above and get the full rundown. Then tell us in the comments — do you believe her claims, or is this one chapter of the Mathew Knowles story that needs receipts?
