Fashion’s biggest night just announced its 2027 theme — and it is all about the clothes you wear every single day. The Met Gala 2027 theme is “extraORDINARY: Fashion And The Poetics Of The Everyday.”
That means guests will be reimagining ordinary everyday clothing — T-shirts, jeans and sweatshirts — and elevating them to full red-carpet moments. The Costume Institute’s key image says it all: a plain white T-shirt transformed into a full ballgown skirt. Everyday on top, extra on the bottom.
