Wiz Khalifa just caught the break of his life overseas. A Romanian appeals court has officially ANNULLED the nine-month prison sentence hanging over the rapper’s head in his international marijuana case — wiping out the punishment that had him sitting on Romania’s wanted list.

The legal saga started back in July 2024, when Wiz performed in CostineÈ™ti, Romania, and lit up onstage. Authorities investigated him for smoking marijuana during the performance and reportedly found 18.53 grams of cannabis in his possession. The case first ended with a fine of 3,600 Romanian lei — but prosecutors weren’t satisfied. They appealed, and in December 2025 a court handed down a nine-month prison sentence instead. By May 2026, Wiz had been placed on Romania’s wanted list.
His legal team kept fighting, filing challenge after challenge — and it finally paid off. On November 3, the Bucharest Court of Appeals annulled the prison sentence entirely.
But Wiz isn’t completely out of the woods yet. The annulment is not an acquittal, and the case is still active. Another hearing is scheduled for November 12, where prosecutors will present a new appeal, and Wiz is expected to participate by video conference. That hearing could still end in a new fine, a different ruling — or even send the prison question back onto the table.
For now, though, the nine months are off his back. The Taylor Gang boss can breathe again — and keep his eyes on November 12.
