Animal Rights Organization Not Happy With Cee Lo’s New Pet

It appears Cee Lo Green may be in for some trouble regarding his latest animal companion on “The Voice.” The judge on the NBC singing competition appeared with a cat last season, and recently announced that he’ll be trading the feline for a Moluccan cockatoo this time around. However, animal rights organization Born Free spokeswoman Monica Engrebretson tells TMZ that isn’t a very good idea. She explains that Moluccan cockatoos don’t make good pets, and are known to develop self-destructive behavior while in captivity. She suggests NBC and Cee Lo pick a more appropriate companion animal, such as a rescue dog in need of a good home.

While Cee Lo may not have made the best choice this time, Monica says she’s still a “huge” fan of the singer, and is happy to see he appears to be an animal lover. Season three of “The Voice” is scheduled to premiere this fall.
