I was very shocked to hear that Charles Pope, the founder and only original member of The Tams, passed away at his home in Atlanta today. Mr. Pope had a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

A few years back I got a chance to meet Mr. Pope and his beloved group The Tams at a benefit concert for Alzheimers. This concert aired on the Tiny and Toya show. It was great seeing Mr. Pope come alive on stage with his daughter Tiny by his side.

Check more out after the break!
Mr. Charles Pope is survived by his lovely wife Dianne Pope; and his children, former Xscape singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Albert “Little Redd” Cottle, and Michelle Pope.

Mr. Pope was a legendary musician and a loving husband and father. He will be missed. My family and I send our condolences to the Pope family. I want to tell Mrs. Dianne she really helped me see what true love and commitment is after seeing how much she was there for her husband day and nights. He was 76, funeral arrangements have been set.

Please keep the family in your paryers.

If you have any kind words please leave them below. The family are friends of FreddyO.com and it’s sometimes nice to know that people really care.

I morn the loss of my friend Charles Pope. I first met Charles and his brother;s Joe and Otis back in 1976. I worked in the management office in Charleston, SC for a number of years and managed Charles and the Tams back in the mid 90’s. Charles was a soft spoken guy with a big heart. He always stood behind his children Redd and then Tiny. He never stopped believing in his kids ability and talent. In the 80’s I released a song by a female singer Charles produced on my Wahr label. I will always remember some of Charles’ greatest performances. He used to say “We don’t like our audiences too quiet”. Rest Charles, I’ll miss you.

Linda Blume – are you serious? Give me a break. Using Charles’ passing to attempt to promote another group. How tacky. Freddy- feel free to remove her comment if you see this. If you don’t, I’ll give you a call later and bring it to your attention.

  8. Charles Pope was the only living member of the Original Joe Pope Tams. Robert Lee Smith left them many years ago. Charles Pope’s son Redd and his grandsons will continue the legacy of the Joe Pope Tams. Do you think Linda Blume could have left her condolences along with her smart elic remark? Sometimes people reveal their real selves in public !

I am terribly sorry that your dad passed away. Although this is no consolation, you may find a tiny bit of peace to know that the fraud, William C Rader, who maliciously stole 30,000 from your parents, has been charged with FRAUD by the California Medical Board.

I know you are grieving but in the future, it would be in your best interest to contact the California Medical Board at 619-645-2075. Your testimony will be of great help in a guilty verdict. The trial is set to take place on February 18th, 2014

    State issues negligence
complaint against “stem cell” psychiatrist William Rader

Filed under: Uncategorized — Psych Crime
    Reporter @ 11:38 am

On March 22, 2013, the Medical
Board of California issued an Accusation against psychiatrist William C. Rader,
alleging gross negligence, repeated negligent acts, false and/or misleading
advertising, disseminating false or misleading statements, dishonesty or
corruption, general unprofessional conduct and violation of the state medical
    practice act.

    These charges all regard Rader’s
treatment of four patients with fetal stem cell therapy; recommending they
undergo such therapy when there is no medical evidence that such therapy could
benefit the patients; failing to properly evaluate patients prior to
recommending the therapy and failing to provide concise, understandable and
accurate information regarding the potential risks and benefits of the therapy.

    Additionally, Rader is charged
with maintaining two websites and published a book which contain statements
that “it is well established that fetal stem cell therapy has no negative side
effects.” The website contain other false and/or misleading statements.
