Drake is just now treating fans to his debut solo album “Thank Me Later,” but that doesn’t mean he isn’t already thinking about his next release. “Drizzy” recently spoke with the “Los Angeles Times” and revealed that he wants his sophomore record to be called “Moments.” He explains, quote, “Hip-hop is all about moments. You look at people who were hot three or four years ago who are sitting around reminiscing. It’s fickle. It’s a game of moments. I’m the moment right now.” While Drake’s “Thank Me Later” arrives in stores today, fans were able to get an early listen when the record leaked online a few weeks ago. Despite its early arrival, Drake says he expects “Thank Me Later” to sell plenty of copies. He recently tweeted, quote, “I gave away free music for years so we’re good over here. Just allow it to be the soundtrack to your summer and ENJOY!”

Drake has enjoyed a quick ascent to the top of the rap game over the past few years. He made his entertainment debut as an actor on the series “Degrassi: The Next Generation,” and released his popular mixtape “So Far Gone” in February of 2009. The record was released as an EP last September, producing hits like “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful.” “So Far Gone” even earned Drake Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance. Earlier this year, Drake was honored in his home country of Canada with the Juno Award for Best New Artist and Rap Recording of the Year.
