Congratulations to Nicki Minaj for breaking the record for most Billboard Top 100 Songs in a year by a female rapper. This is huge considering she hasn’t even released an album yet. To date, Nicki has had 11 Top 100 Singles…that might be more than your favorite rapper has had in his/her entire career…and that’s just her first full year out in the public eye.
Nicki has more to celebrate. She has also been nominated for the  MTV VMA category of Best New Artist.
If she can accomplish all of this BEFORE her album drops, what’s next? Love her or hate her, you have to respect her achievements so far.

she’s hot but i think the reason she’s even hotter right now becasue it’s been a while since hip hop had a female mc’s that had the body, the look and can rap on top of that……i’m just wishing she doesn’t fall into the weirdo (foxy brown and lil kim) categories after couple of years…..hopefully she’ll stay true to herself just like EVE.

@tee tee, Nicki has better lyrics than lil kim, Kim was downright NASTY!!!, at least nicki has more class and a sick flow. Lil kim got all that damn plastic surgery and still Ugly and can rap!!!!!!! aint nothing ABC about nicki’s flow. She aint talking about sucking, licking, and nothing else that degrades herself.
I agree with Kina, Nicki is a better lyricist than Kim, in my personal opinion. A lot of people just don’t take her seriously because she can be somewhat animated in some of her songs and featurettes and she does not have the tough in your face appearance. Anyway… I’m happy for her. I can’t wait till Pink Friday comes out. Do you Nicki!
@ KINA. I have to say before Lil Kim got plastic surgery she was pretty. She looked like an ordinary girl. Now, she is not so hot.
Way to go Nicki!!!! I think that like every other artist Nicki dumbs down her lyrics on features, and she should. It doesn’t make sense to “go in” on another person’s song. Nicki’s watered down lyrics are still better than what most artist have put out (and have broken records). Ppl are just mad that she’s getting acclaim w/o an album but I’m sure she’ll show and prove on Pink Friday.
