Fans will soon get a chance to see what went on during Rihanna’s jet-setting 777 tour last November. Fox will bring footage of the singer’s seven-day, seven-city global trek in the form of a documentary special. Set to premiere on May 6th, “Rihanna 777” is expected to present an insider look at the trek, which included 150 journalists and fans who Rihanna invited to accompany her on board a Boeing 777. Reports that surfaced during the weeklong trek last November suggested things did not go as smoothly as planned. Passengers complained of being delayed for hours on the tarmac on a few stops; some reporters said restricted access to Rihanna caused disruptions on board the flight; and there was at least one report of a journalist who streaked on board the aircraft carrier.
Rihanna’s 777 tour kicked off on November 14th and played shows in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York to promote her album “Unapologetic.”
