Singer/actress Toni Braxton was unable to attend a small dinner last night featuring the stars of Braxton Family Values at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Source say Braxton spent last night in the hospital due to complications from Lupus. The songstress announced she was suffering from Lupus during an episode of the reality series last year.
This follows the cancellation of two postponed concerts originally scheduled in Oklahoma this week which have now been rescheduled to February 3 and February 4. According to Ticketstorm.com, “Due to health issues Toni Braxton has been forced to postpone this weekend’s show until February … per her doctor’s recommendation.
Toni stated that she is very excited to be playing in Oklahoma.â€
The Braxton sisters confirmed Today Toni’s hospital visit today in a statment from WE tv president Kim Martin:
The R&B diva, explaining that she’d checked herself into a hospital due to a lupus flare-up, but that she was ok.
Both Tamar Braxton and Towanda Braxton sent heartwarming tweets to their sister saying “I love my @tonibraxton I just was to kiss kiss kiss her and put her in my pocket! #mysugaplum,†says Tamar while Towanda tweeted, “I just love my best-friend/sister @tonibraxton! I just want to hug her all the time!! She’s the greatest!! Xoxo.â€

Praying for you Toni! Lupus is nothing to play with and hope that you can get it under control and have a long healthy life for the sake of your children and family. I think it may be time to take a break from the music and take a less stressful route…your health comes first! God bless
People don’t really realize the severity of lupus. I know Toni loves her career and that it puts food on the table, but maybe it’s time to look into other ventures, where she isn’t traveling as much and where she can basically be near her primary doctor at all times. I wish her and the kids the best, and my prayers are with her and her family.
