Obama Nelson Mandela SpeechPresident Obama gave another impressive speech at Nelson Mandela’s memorial today.  Along with First Lady Michelle Obama, The Bushes and The Clintons, President Obama hopped on Air Force 1 last night to make a moving speech at Mandela’s National Memorial service in South Africa today.  Citizens and leaders from around the world gathered outside of Johannesburg at FNB Stadium, also known as Soccer City to remember the greatness of South Africa’s first black President.  You can watch the speech below.  READ MORE

Trayvon Martin‘s parents breaks their silence since the George Zimmerman verdict by chatting with the media on several different networks. They expressed feelings of shock and disgust after learning of the verdict. They wished that the jurors and public got a chance to know their son Trayvon Martin as a loving kid and human being. They are praying for the strength to forgive as parents and feel that Zimmerman’s family are inauthentic.

President Obama, surprised many on Friday by addressing the verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial. Obama discusses the experience of being a black man in the United States and shares the perspective of African-Americans. President Obama has not spoke extensively about race relations since 2008 and this is the first time he’s truly discussed race relations as a president!
