Ladies, get ready to melt! Steph Jones, the Houston-born singer, songwriter and model with the smile the girls go crazy over, sat down with his guitar for this intimate live performance of “You’re So Delicious,” and it is smooth with a capital S. No big stage, no band, no extras — just Steph, his voice and a song made to be sung directly to one special lady. FreddyO caught the moment up close, and this is the clip the ladies have been passing around ever since.
Steph Jones is one of those names the industry keeps whispering about. A singer who writes his own love songs, a model who has fronted major campaigns, and a performer who can hold a whole room with nothing but an acoustic guitar — that is a rare package in R&B right now. While a lot of new artists are hiding behind studio tricks, Steph is building his buzz the honest way: live, raw and right in front of the fans, one performance at a time.
“You’re So Delicious” is exactly the kind of record that made slow jams king. Playful, flirty and smooth, it lets Steph slide from a whisper to a full run without ever losing that eye-contact feeling that makes a live performance special. Watching him work through it, you understand why his fan base of ladies grows every time a new video drops. This is grown-folks R&B the way it is supposed to feel.
Press play and let Steph sing to you for a minute, then tell us in the comments: does he have what it takes to be R&B’s next heartthrob? FreddyO.com is keeping our eyes — and ears — on this one.
