Diddy’s federal trial kicked off with major courtroom moments, and his kids showed up to support him. Outside, Jaguar Wright made explosive claims as A-list names got pulled into the conversation.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial is happening in Manhattan in front of Judge Arun Subramanian. Jury selection started on May 5, and the jury was finalized and opening statements were set for Monday, May 12. The trial is not televised, and it’s expected to last several weeks.

Combs faces five federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty and turned down a plea deal before trial. He has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024.

Going into openings, his lawyers signaled they would admit he may have committed domestic violence in his relationships, but argue that his behavior never crossed the line into coercion or trafficking. Prosecutors say he ran a years-long scheme that exploited women. His ex, Cassie, is expected to be one of the key witnesses.
