Sean “Diddy” Combs’ time at FCI Fort Dix keeps getting rougher — a reported head injury, a reported fight behind bars, and a release date moving in the wrong direction.
Over the weekend, Combs was reportedly taken out of the New Jersey federal prison by ambulance at around 1 a.m. Saturday with a head injury. According to TMZ’s reporting, he received treatment, was conscious and speaking, and was back inside the prison before sunrise. The injury was described as not life-threatening. His representative said they are working to confirm the circumstances and that his health and well-being are the immediate concern.
TMZ has since reported that the injury came from a fight with Christopher “Dudus” Coke, the Jamaican former Shower Posse leader who is serving a 23-year sentence. Both men reportedly received two weeks in solitary confinement over the altercation. A prison workers’ union representative has also told TMZ that Combs has been written up for fighting three times since July, reportedly losing 41 days of good-time credit and 400 days of commissary privileges.
Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Prisons now projects Combs’ release for March 2, 2028 — pushed back from January 21, 2028. The Bureau does not comment on the conditions of confinement for individual inmates. Combs is serving a 50-month sentence following his July 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution; he was acquitted of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His appeal remains pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
None of the fight reports have been confirmed by the Bureau of Prisons, and the full circumstances of the head injury remain unclear. We will update this story as confirmed details come in.
