“The Game” Cast Reunites to Celebrate 20 Years of Black Television History

Twenty years later, the team is back together! The original cast of “The Game” reunited in Los Angeles over the weekend to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary — and for the first time in nearly a decade, all six stars were in the same room.

Tia Mowry (Melanie), Pooch Hall (Derwin), Wendy Raquel Robinson (Tasha Mack), Hosea Chanchez (Malik), Coby Bell (Jason) and Brittany Daniel (Kelly) linked up for a private celebratory dinner at Lucia’s in Los Angeles, laughing, reminiscing and debating the classics — including the eternal Team Melanie vs. Team Derwin question. Mowry shared moments from the night on Instagram, and the photos (by Nikki Boutte) have fans all in their feelings.

Created by Mara Brock Akil, “The Game” premiered October 1, 2006 on The CW, ran on BET from 2011 to 2015, and returned for a Paramount+ revival from 2021 to 2023 — a groundbreaking run that helped define an era of Black television.

Two decades, three networks, and one unforgettable crew. Happy 20th to a classic!
