Keke Palmer Wins a Daytime Emmy for ‘Glam Through The Ages’ — With Her Mom Right Beside Her as Co-Producer

We have watched Keke Palmer grow up right in front of us — from a little girl carrying a whole movie to one of the hardest-working women in entertainment. On Friday night, October 30, at the Hollywood Palladium, she added a new title to her name: Emmy-winning producer.

Her KeyTV Network series Glam Through The Ages won Outstanding Daytime Short Form Program at the 53rd Daytime Creative Arts & Lifestyle Emmy Awards. And the best part of the whole story? Look at who is holding that trophy in the picture below — her mother, Sharon Palmer, who is an executive producer on the show right alongside her daughter. Keke planted a kiss on her mama’s cheek, and honestly, that one photo says everything about how this family moves.

What Is ‘Glam Through The Ages’?

Glam Through The Ages is a short-form series on Keke’s own KeyTV Network where beauty becomes a history lesson. Each episode travels to a different era and breaks down the hair, makeup, and style of the time — and what those looks meant for Black women living through it. The first episode goes back to 1955 with guest Shelby Christie, and the second episode lands in 1974. It is fun, it is fly, and it is educational in a way that never feels like school. Watch the first episode right here:

The Emmy win belongs to the show’s executive producers: Lenoria Addison, Keke Palmer, Sharon Palmer, and Max Wyeth. Keke was also nominated that same night for Outstanding Daytime Personality – Non-Daily, and she presented during the ceremony — but it was the producing win, for a show she built on her own platform, that made the night hers.

And because pictures tell this story better than words, here is Keke living in the moment right after the win:

She Built KeyTV Herself

Here is the part people need to understand. Keke did not wait for a network to hand her this opportunity. She founded KeyTV and launched it in November 2022 as a digital network created to put BIPOC creators in position — roughly 30 original projects deep, with a real community of young creatives learning the business through it. She makes this content on her own time, on her own platform, in her own way — and now that work has an Emmy on it.

Two More Big Things Keke Has Going On

1. She is the new host of The Voice. Keke has been named the host of NBC’s The Voice starting in 2027 for Season 31 — one of the biggest hosting chairs in television, and she is stepping into it at the height of her powers.

2. KeyTV just partnered with UCLA. KeyTV and UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television announced a five-year partnership called “From Blocking to Broadcast,” with Keke serving as an artist-in-residence — masterclasses, industry sessions, and students creating real work under the KeyTV umbrella, some of which will actually air on the network. She is not just opening doors; she is building the hallway.

And if that is not enough, she is also set to return to the big screen in the Spaceballs sequel coming in April 2027 — all while being a mom to her son, Leo. The range is different.

FreddyO’s Take

A lot of child stars fade when the industry is done with them. Keke Palmer did the opposite — she bought the building. She owns the network, she produces the shows, her mother produces beside her, and the Emmy she just won was earned on content she created because she believed young Black creators deserved a home. Congratulations to Keke, to Sharon, and to the whole KeyTV family. This is Black excellence, family business, and ownership — all in one red dress.
