Empire fans, this one is tough to see. Bryshere Gray, the actor and rapper the world met as Hakeem Lyon, is speaking out after headlines about his arrest started making the rounds. TMZ reporters caught up with the star and asked him directly about being arrested, and instead of running from the cameras, Bryshere stopped and responded on the spot. FreddyO has the video, and his calm, unbothered energy is what everybody is talking about right now.
It is a long way from the Lyon family throne. Bryshere shot to fame in 2015 when Empire became the biggest show on television, with Hakeem’s music, attitude and family drama making him a fan favorite and landing him on red carpets and award shows everywhere. Since the show ended in 2020, he has been working to build his own lane in music and acting, but headlines like these keep his name in the blogs for reasons that have nothing to do with his talent.
That is exactly why moments like this matter. When a story about an arrest breaks online, the headline usually travels faster than the facts, and celebrities rarely get to say a word for themselves. Here, Bryshere faces the questions head-on, in his own voice, and lets people judge his energy for themselves instead of going off somebody else’s version of what happened. Fans are flooding the comments with support and hoping this young brother gets everything back on track.
Press play and watch Bryshere respond for yourself, then tell us in the comments: should the public let him tell his side before passing judgment? FreddyO.com is sending him strength and will keep you posted as this story develops.
