Seafood, hibachi, sushi and unlimited plates: New City Buffet in Riverdale is doing it all. I stopped by during its grand opening to see if the food matches the energy.
A New Buffet on the Southside
Riverdale, just south of Atlanta in Clayton County, got a new spot for anybody who loves variety. New City Buffet serves seafood, hibachi, sushi and more, all with unlimited plates. I stopped by during the grand opening to see if it lived up to the hype.
Buffets are perfect when you cannot decide what you want or when you are feeding a big family. The key is whether the food stays fresh and whether the quality matches the price.
What I Looked For
When I review a buffet, I check how often the trays get refilled, how fresh the seafood and sushi look and whether the hibachi is cooked to order. A clean dining room and friendly staff matter too.
Buffet Tips
Go early or right when a meal service starts so the food is at its freshest. Take a lap before you load your plate, start with small portions so you can try more, and save room for the items you came for.
