While I was in Los Angeles, I stopped by Curry Boys to see what the hype was about. I break down the location, the menu and how the food tasted.
Shout out to Curry Boys for having me while I was out in Los Angeles. When I travel, I always try to find spots that the locals are talking about, and this one kept coming up.
LA has one of the deepest curry scenes in the country, from Japanese curry spots in Little Tokyo to the Thai restaurants in Thai Town in East Hollywood. So any curry place out there has a lot to live up to.
In the video, I break down where it’s located, what’s on the menu and exactly how everything tasted. Menus and prices can change, so check before you go. If you’re heading to LA, watch this first.

How to Order Curry Like a Pro
If you are new to curry, start mild and work your way up. Many curry spots let you pick your spice level, and it is always easier to add heat than to take it away. Rice soaks up the sauce, so do not skip it, and if there is bread or roti on the menu, grab some for dipping.
Ask what the most popular dish is. Staff usually know what regulars order again and again, and that is often the best way to judge a new spot on your first visit.
