Rihanna is sitting on a whole catalog. At a Fenty Beauty event, she was asked how many unreleased songs she has, and she answered in true Fenty fashion, comparing it to her Gloss Bomb Vault.
Her math: if one vault holds 10 products, she has at least 17 vaults of music. That puts her unreleased stash at around 170 songs, and since she said “at least,” it could be a lot more.
Fans have been waiting on R9 for about 10 years now. Rihanna has not dropped an album since ANTI in 2016, and there is still no release date for the next one.
She has been focused on building Fenty Beauty and raising her family with A$AP Rocky, and she has said she just hasn’t felt the urge to put out an album. Knowing there are 170-plus songs out there is not making the wait any easier.
If Rihanna dropped just one vault tomorrow, would you be satisfied?
