Comedian and internet superstar Druski is reportedly about to make history — according to a report from Puck News, he’s set to host Saturday Night Live on November 7, which would make him the FIRST digital creator to ever host the legendary NBC sketch show.

Let’s talk about why this is historic. SNL has pulled talent from the internet before — Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island came from YouTube back in 2005 — but in the show’s 50+ years, a creator who built his audience primarily on social media has never been handed the host spot. Recent hosts with huge online followings like Nate Bargatze and Shane Gillis were stand-up comics first.
Druski — real name Drew Desbordes, raised in Gwinnett County, Georgia — built an empire on TikTok and Instagram sketches, created Coulda Been Records and Coulda Been Love, and has collaborated with everybody from Drake to Kevin Hart to Kai Cenat. Now Lorne Michaels is reportedly giving him the biggest stage in comedy.
A quick status check: this is a REPORT, not an official announcement. An SNL rep declined to comment and NBC hasn’t confirmed anything yet — and no musical guest has been named. But if it holds, it’s a floodgates moment for creator agents everywhere.
FreddyO will be watching on November 7 — from Instagram sketches to Studio 8H, that’s a Georgia boy making history.
