Talk about a full-circle love story! Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are officially husband and wife. The Melrose Place star, 59, and the attorney said “I do” on Sunday, November 1, in a low-key ceremony at their 92-acre country estate outside Stockton, New Jersey — and yes, People has confirmed the happy news.
It was a quiet, private celebration for a couple who has done everything their own way — no cameras, no fuss, just the two of them making it official after a journey nobody saw coming.
If you need a refresher on how we got here: Andrew and Marilee had actually known each other for years — through their exes. Andrew was married to Amy Robach, and Marilee was married to T.J. Holmes, the former GMA3 co-anchors whose workplace romance made national headlines in November 2022 and cost them both their ABC jobs by January 2023. Both marriages ended in divorce in 2023, and in the middle of that storm, Andrew and Marilee found something neither of them expected: a friend who truly understood exactly what the other was going through.
That friendship quietly turned into love. Word of their relationship first surfaced in December 2023, and they made their first public appearance as a couple a year later at the Grassroot Soccer World AIDS Day Gala in New York City — a date night Marilee shared on her own Instagram. This past spring, Andrew popped the question, and the couple kept the engagement to themselves for months before sharing the news in October. More than three years after their first headlines together, they made it official.
Andrew opened up about their journey in his interview with People last month, and his words say it all: “We’re very grateful and hopeful. I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending.” He explained that the two fell for each other by “being able to share ourselves with each other in a time where we both needed a friend,” and said finding the right person after his marriage ended “has been an extraordinary gift.”
And here’s the twist that makes this story one for the books: just six weeks before Andrew and Marilee’s wedding, their exes quietly tied the knot too. T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach married in a private Arkansas ceremony on September 19, according to their marriage license. So the chapter that started with so much heartbreak has now closed with weddings on both sides — everybody, it seems, got their happy ending after all.
