Every plate served at Hope Giving carries forward the legacy of Pastor Barbara Brewton. Pastor Barbara put her faith into action by founding Community Outreach Christian Ministries in Charlotte — and through her ministry, she helped feed more than 100,000 families.
Her daughter, Catherine Brewton, founded Hope for Harvest to carry that work forward and give young people a safe place to learn, grow, and feel supported.
Hope Giving is their annual FREE Thanksgiving meal service. A hot meal can ease the pressure on a family during the holidays — and a seat at the table tells our neighbors, “You’re welcome here.” That’s how they honor Pastor Barbara and keep her work going.
