Kandi Burruss’s Kandi Koated Nights has become the place where guests say the things they would never say anywhere else, and this conversation was one of the realest yet. Kandi sat down with internet personality Kat Stacks, and instead of just the headlines everybody already knows, the interview went deeper, as Kat opened up about painful experiences from her teenage years and the story behind the persona.
Kat Stacks built her name online by putting rappers on blast, and the blogs have been arguing about her ever since. But sitting across from Kandi, a different side came out. In this interview she talks about being hurt as a young teenager and about a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage at 15, in the middle of abuse she says she was living through. It is heavy, and Kandi handles the conversation with care, asking the questions the internet has been screaming and then letting her guest actually answer them in her own words.
That is what Kandi Koated Nights does best. Since Kandi launched the show last year, the Grammy-winning singer and Real Housewives of Atlanta star has turned her online talk show into a late-night space where Atlanta’s most talked-about names come to tell their side. Whatever people think about Kat Stacks, this interview is a reminder that behind every internet character is a real person with a real past, and some of those stories are harder than anybody knew.
