Kandi Burruss knows how to throw a party, and when it came time to celebrate her husband Todd Tucker turning 45, she went all out. Kandi hosted an epic ‘Jerseys and Jordans’ birthday bash for Todd, and FreddyO was in the building for every minute of it. The theme said it all — everybody pulled up rocking their favorite team jerseys with fresh Jordans on their feet, turning a birthday party into a full display of Atlanta style. Todd was all smiles as his wife, his family and his famous friends filled the room to show the birthday boy some love.
The night had big Atlanta energy from start to finish. Kandi’s Xscape sisters came through to celebrate, the music kept the room moving, and Kandi herself even took it back to the old school, reminding everybody that before the restaurants, the Broadway stage and the Real Housewives, she was — and still is — that girl with the pen and the voice. Between the dancing, the laughter and the nonstop photos, the party felt less like an industry event and more like a family reunion, which is exactly how Kandi and Todd like it.
Between Old Lady Gang, their growing business empire and raising their son Ace, Kandi and Todd have a whole lot to celebrate these days, and 45 looks good on Todd. Watching Kandi make sure every detail of her husband’s night was perfect — the theme, the guest list, the vibe — is just another reminder of why these two are one of Atlanta’s favorite couples.
