Kodak Black Steps Into Film
Kodak Black is best known as one of Florida’s biggest rap stars, with hits like “Tunnel Vision,” “ZEZE” and “Super Gremlin.” With “Glow Street,” his first feature film, he is showing a different side of his creativity.
The movie follows four resilient women as they navigate hard times and find their power. It is a story about survival, sisterhood and strength, themes that a lot of people can relate to.
On the Red Carpet
The premiere brought out Kodak, the cast and supporters who came to celebrate the film’s debut. I talked with members of the cast about the project and what it meant to them to tell this story.
More and more artists are moving into film and television, using their platforms to tell stories from their communities. It is exciting to see Kodak take that step.
